National Junior Wushu Competition: It is a matter of pride for Wushu sports lovers of Jalore district that for the first time five promising players here have been selected for the National Junior Wushu competition. This achievement is the result of the guidance of Shivdutt Arya, President of District Wushu Union and the hard work of General Secretary Kanhaiyalal Mishra. The players have proved with their skills and dedication that the land of Jalore is no less than the game talent.
At the historic Chaugan Stadium in Jaipur on 23 and 24 May
A state level selection trial was organized for the National Junior Wushu competition at the historic Chaugan Stadium in Jaipur on 23 and 24 May under the aegis of Rajasthan Wushu Sangh. Hundreds of players from all over the state took part in it, but these five players from Jalore attracted the attention of the judges with their brilliant performance and got first place and selected for the national team.
Got first place
In the 45 kg weight category of the men’s category, Vihanraj Saxena of Jalore defeated the opponents and influenced the selectors. Jalore’s daughters also introduced their outstanding games in the women’s category. Divya Soni in 45 kg category, Ishita Chaudhary in 48 kg category, Himani Vaishnav in 52 kg category and Divya Godara in 60 kg category took the first place in their respective category by fighting brilliantly.
Strict training of coaches and cooperation of families
District Wushu Union General Secretary Kanhaiyalal Mishra told Local 18 that these players have given a moment of pride for the district. He said that this success of the players includes years of hard work, strict training of coaches and cooperation of families. The selected players will now represent Rajasthan at the national level, which will further strengthen the sports identity of the district.
