External Affairs Minister Jaishankar shared these things from DD News, whose video he shared on his social media account X on Saturday night.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that India should not always expect good and easy relations from its neighboring countries. But India has formulated such a sensible policy, so that even if the government changes in a country, the relationship still remains fine.

Jaishankar said, “After all, every neighbor should understand that they benefit from working together with India and loss by doing. Some countries take time to understand it.

He said that Pakistan is an exception, because the identity there has been built around the army, in which there is enmity with India from the beginning.

The Foreign Minister said;-

In the policy of earlier governments, Pakistan was soft about Pakistan, but the Modi government changed it.

Jaishankar said that Pakistan has full enmity towards India since the beginning.

Jaishankar’s perspective on China and America Jaishankar said that there is sometimes uncertainty in relations with America, so India should make more and more association with it so that the relationship remains balanced.

Regarding China, he said that the situation on the border became very difficult many times, especially after Galwan’s clash. Therefore, we had to make roads and necessary facilities on the border, which were ignored by the earlier governments.

They said;-

The first governments did not develop on the border, which was a big mistake. Today we are standing firmly in front of China, because we have prepared the necessary structure there.

Jaishankar said- Modi government improved relations with neighbors in 11 years Jaishankar said that in the last 11 years, the Modi government has paid special attention to strengthening India’s relations with neighboring countries.

They told:

• The government changed in Sri Lanka, but the relations with India remained good.
• Initially there was some trouble with Maldives, but now the relationship has improved.
• India is dragged several times in Nepal’s politics, but we should not be disturbed by it.

Jaishankar said;-

Relations continue to fluctuate, but we should work wisely. Should not be given up in difficult times, as doing so is a sign of a weak plan.

Modi government changed policy regarding Pakistan Jaishankar said about the 2016 surgical strike, 2019 Balakot air strike and Operation Sindoor, saying that now India does not just respond, but also takes initiative even if needed.

He said that now Pakistan does not think that it will do anything and it will not be punished.
