Dr. Gaurav said that cloves contain an element called ‘Eugenol’, which is naturally pain reliever and bacterician. If there is a sharp pain in the tooth, then put 1-2 drops of clove oil on the cotton lightly on the painful part. It can reduce pain within a few minutes. If clove oil is not available, then the whole cloves can also be benefited by chewing it lightly.
Salt-water
Gargling with half a teaspoon of salt in lukewarm water during toothache is a simple and effective way. It not only cleanses teeth and gums, but also reduces swelling and bacteria. Using salt-water 2-3 times a day can provide great relief.
The element called ‘alicin’ present in garlic helps in eliminating bacteria. Grind a bud of garlic on a painful tooth, or chew it lightly. This method will not only reduce pain, but will also help prevent infection.
Ginger and turmeric paste
Both ginger and turmeric have anti-inflammatory properties. Make a paste by mixing some ginger juice in turmeric powder and apply it on the painful part. It reduces inflammation of the gums. It also controls bacteria.
Snow
If there is swelling along with pain, wrap ice in cloth and place it on the outside of the cheek for 10-15 minutes. This helps reduce inflammation and numb pain temporarily. Gaurav Prakash also advised that all these prescriptions are only for temporary relief. If the pain is not reduced in 1-2 days or increases, then immediately go to the dentist and get it checked, because negligence can cause a serious problem. It also appealed to clean the teeth regularly, brush twice a day, limit the intake of sweet and sticky things and get the teeth checked every 6 months. Teeth health is not only for smile, but for the health of the whole body. Therefore, along with these home remedies of the kitchen, it is necessary to make regular dental care a part of the lifestyle.
