Lima (Peru): Young shooter Suruchi Inder Singh continued his great performance in the 10 meter air pistol event here and won the second consecutive gold medal in the ISSF World Cup, while Paris Olympic medalist Manu Bhakar won the silver medal and ensured India’s dominance in the competition.

18 -year -old Suruchi, a resident of Jhajjar in Haryana, who won the gold medal in the first World Cup of the year recently in Buenos Aires, scored 243.6 in the 24 shot final and left Manu behind by 1.3 points. Yao Kianxun of China won a bronze medal.

Suruchi and Manu’s arrival at the podium meant that India won a medal of each color on this day, including a bronze medal of Saurabh Chaudhary, a men’s 10 meter air pistol shooter.

India reached the top with three medals due to a great performance in the women’s 10m air pistol in Peru’s capital. After that comes the number of China, which won the gold medal in the men’s air pistol.

In the women’s 10m air pistol, Suruchi scored 582 points in the 60 -shot qualification round, while Manu made 578 points and made it to the finals while finishing fourth. Sanyam, another India shooter, finished 11th with 571 points. Suruchi also won 10 meter air pistol mixed team bronze with Saurabh in Buenos Aires.
