IPL 2025 postponed or Continue: Delhi-Punjab match canceled, BCCI gave information

New Delhi. The match being played between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings at Dharamshala was canceled on Thursday in the Indian Premier League 2025. It was decided to stop the match due to technical fault. Due to the atmosphere of tension between India and Pakistan, the fans are worried about whether the remaining matches of the tournament will be done or not. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has given information about this matter.

The Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) Secretary Devjit Saikia spoke on the cancellation of the match being played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on 8 May. According to the report of India Today, he said, ‘Keeping everything in mind the match of Delhi and Punjab, we decided to cancel. The neighboring country is trying to spoil the situation. For us, the safety priority of Indian and outside players, audiences and colleagues who have come to see the match is a priority. We will do all that will be in the interest of the country. Our eyes are on this whole situation and according to that some kind of decision will be taken.

According to the IANS report, the BCCI Secretary said, “No emergency meetings are being held. We are in different places and only the Dharamshala match was concerned, which we have decided to cancel. Avoid spreading rumors.”

IPL chairman Arun Dhumal told PTI, “We are reviewing the situation at the moment. Whatever situation is in front of us, it is constantly changing. We have not been issued any instructions from the government. It is obvious that keeping in mind all kinds of things, some kind of decision will be taken further. The match to be held on Friday, it is currently being played according to the schedule.
