India’s four times the 400m men relay team entered the final of the Asian Athletics Championship. Sanjeevani Jadhav finished fifth in the women’s 10,000 meter race.

Gumi (South Korea): India’s four times the 400 meter men relay team of Rins Joseph, Dharamvir Chaudhary, Manu Thekkinalil Saji and Mohit Kumar entered the final of the 26th Asian Athletics Championship here on Thursday.
The Indian quartet scored a three -minute 6.28 seconds of his best to top his heat (early race).
The Indian team will start from the fifth lane in the finals to be held in the evening. In the heat, India qualified for the final by beating China (three minutes 6.79 seconds) and hosts Korea (three minutes 10.05 seconds).
In the final, India will be challenged by strong teams like Sri Lanka, China and Kazakhstan. Sri Lanka took the fastest three minutes of the session 1.56 seconds.
In the final of the women’s 10,000 meter race, India’s Sanjeevani Jadhav finished fifth in the 33 minutes 8.17 seconds to finish fifth while Seema finished sixth from 33 minutes 08.23 seconds.
In this event, Kazakhstan’s Daisy Jepkami (30 minutes 48.44 seconds) won the gold medal. Japan’s Reark Hironika (30 minutes 56.32 seconds) and Mikuni Yada (31 minutes 12.21 seconds) finished second and third respectively.
India has so far won a total of eight medals including two gold, four silver and two bronze medals in this continental competition.
