India’s 2025-27 WTC schedule: England, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia

New Delhi. After failing to qualify for the World Test Championship 2025 (WTC) final, India started the 2025-27 WTC series by playing 2–2 draws in the five-match Test series against England. India scored 28 out of a total of 60 points from the England series and finished third in the WTC 2025-27 series.

After the tour of England, the Indian team will play five more Test series in the WTC 2025-27 series. Out of these five series, three will be in India and India will travel abroad next year for two series. India will play the next Test match against the West Indies in October 2025. The two -match Test series against Roston Chase -led team will start in Ahmedabad on 2 October. The first match of the series at Narendra Modi Stadium will be held from 2 to 6 October and the second Test will be played in Arun Jaitley Stadium Delhi.

The 2025 World Test Championship (WTC) winner South Africa will play against the Indian team in November. The two -match Test series between India and South Africa will begin on 14 November at Eden Gardens in Kolkata and the second Test will be played from 22 to 26 November at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

The Indian men’s cricket team will travel to Sri Lanka for the two -match series in July 2026. India last played a Test series against Sri Lanka in March 2022 and won both matches under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. India last visited the Test series for Sri Lanka in July-August 2017 and India won all three matches during that tour.

India will travel to New Zealand for the two -match Test series in November 2026. In the New Zealand tour, the Indian team would like to avenge a shameful defeat of 0-3 in the three-match series played in front of domestic audience last year. India last visited the Test series for New Zealand in February-March 2020, but lost both matches under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.

In the first quarter of 2027, India will play a five -match Test series against Australia at home. In the previous session (2024–25) of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma and Jaspreet Bumrah (captaincy in two matches) lost by a margin of 1-3. However, India won 2–1 in the last series played at home in February-March 2023.
