The Indian team left for Australia today, where it will play an important series of four matches against the hosts at Perth Hockey Stadium from August 15 to 21.

Before the team departs, Harmanpreet said, “Playing on their home ground against Australia is always a big challenge and this is what we need in this phase of preparation for the Asia Cup.”
Harmanpreet said, “This era of Australia will help us identify areas before the Asia Cup which needs to be improved. We are excited to perform our best against a strong team like Australia. ”

The matches against Australia will be played on 15, 16, 19 and 21 August. This series will also help the team management to select the final team for the Asia Cup. The Asia Cup will start in Rajgir from August 29. The winning of this tournament will qualify directly for the World Cup.
