Bokaro In the ongoing 2025 Asia Cup archery competition in Bangkok, Indian archers have performed brilliantly and won 5 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal. At the same time, in the final match of the Recurve men’s team event held on Saturday 22 February, India’s team defeated China 5–1 and won the gold medal. China won silver and Australia won the bronze medal.
The Indian team gave a tough competition to China with 53-53 score in the first set. In the second set, India took a 55-50 lead and won 52-51 in the third set to win 52-51. The Indian team took the competition with a big margin of 5–1.
Goldie Mishra’s important role
Vishnu Chaudhary and Rahul played an important role in this historic recurve men’s team event along with talented archer Goldie Mishra of Chandankari block of Bokaro district.
Credit to coach and family
In a special conversation with local 18, archer Goldie Mishra said that he is very happy with this victory because his team had worked hard for the tournament, which finally succeeded. He credited his victory to his coach Anil Kumar, early archery coach Mahendra Karmali, parents and all sports lovers.
Dream from farmer family to Olympics
Goldie Mishra belongs to an ordinary farmer family. His father Dulal Mishra is a farmer, while his mother Rekha Devi is a housewife. Goldie’s dream is to win the gold medal in the Olympics for the Indian team, for which he is doing hard practice daily.
Gaurav has been given earlier also
Recently, in the 38th National Games competition held in Uttarakhand on 6 February, Goldie Mishra made Jharkhand proud by winning the gold medal at the Jharkhand men’s team event.
