The teams of India and Pakistan are in the same group and these two teams are likely to face face to face in the Super Four match again next Sunday (21 September). If everything goes well and both teams reach the finals, then under the title match, it will be the third competition in the tournament.
India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman have been kept in Group A while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are in Group B. India will start its campaign against UAE on 10 September and all its matches are likely to be played in Dubai.
The ACC will allow the 17 -member team for this 19 -match tournament and the matches will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The venue of the Asia Cup was decided at the ACC meeting on 24 July. All 25 member countries participated in this meeting.
The host of the tournament is BCCI, but is being held in the UAE as India and Pakistan have expressed mutually agreed to compete only at neutral places by 2027 due to the current tension between the two countries.
