Shashi Tharoor wrote on the social media platform X, “I felt the lack of Virat Kohli many times during this series. But, the lack of lack in this Test match, he has never been as much as he was. His patience and passion, his inspiring presence on the field, his brilliant batting, maybe give some more results. Is it too late to declare his retirement?”
