Air India on Tuesday canceled flights to and from Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot. The airline said on X that this decision has been taken to protect the passengers in view of the present situation.

Air India has said that it is monitoring the situation and passengers will be given updates from time to time. IndiGo also earlier canceled his flights to Jammu, Srinagar, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh and Rajkot.

Here, schools, Anganwadi and coaching centers will be opened today in the border districts including Barmer, Jodhpur of Rajasthan. However, Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Pathankot district administration of Punjab have issued instructions to close the school.

Earlier on Monday, 32 airports from 9 states closed from 9 May were opened. Airlines started booking for passengers on behalf of companies. Now all the operational airports in the country are open.

India had an air strike on Pakistan on 7 May to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. Pakistan also retaliated in border areas. On May 10, the Ministry of Civil Aviation issued instructions to close 32 airports in 9 states.
