New Delhi. Double Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra has said that although he is very happy with his victory at the Ostrava Golden Spike Event on Tuesday, he is not very happy with his performance. He threw 85.29 meters, which was much lower than his individual best 90.23 meters, which he achieved in Doha last month.
The two -time Olympic medalworite recorded his winning attempt in the third round, after the foul in the first round and 83.45 meters in the second round. Neeraj threw 82.17 meters and 81.01 meters and did another foul in the final round. Despite the slight points according to his high standards, he continued his strong form this season, after winning the Diamond League in Paris a few days ago.
Neeraj’s next match will be held on Saturday, July 5 in NC Classic in Bengaluru, where Peters and Roaler are also expected to compete. Regularly not putting himself under the pressure of 90 meters throw, Neeraj said that he felt good about the Golden Spike Athletics Meet in Ostrava as he was preparing to top the world championship in his final goal, Tokyo, this year’s final goal.
