Food Testing Labs in Hyderabad: The food safety team in the city has issued notices to the kitchens of several restaurants. The Telangana government has taken a big step to strengthen food security in the state. 6 new food testing laboratories will be set up in Hyderabad and surrounding areas. The scheme has been created in collaboration with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
According to officials, it is necessary to make Hyderabad a food testing hub to check the quality check and security of food items according to the standards of FSSAI. This will improve the quality of products to be exported from here.
What will happen in these labs?
These labs will be equipped with modern technology. Here milk, spices, packaged foods, organic products and other food items will be tested. There will be a facility of chemical, microbiological and physical testing. There are raids in every hotel and restaurant in the city and they will be investigated in these labs.
