Usually Aadhaar card is downloaded from the UIDAI portal or Digilocker app, but there is an easy way by which you can find it directly on WhatsApp.

In fact, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), an organization managing Aadhaar card, has given a facility, through which a digital copy of Aadhaar card can be downloaded. It is called e-aadhaar and the password is protected. Usually Aadhaar card is downloaded from the UIDAI portal or Digilocker app, but there is an easy way by which you can find it directly on WhatsApp. For this, the official MyGov Helpdesk Chatbot of the government is available. With this integration, users can download Aadhaar and other important documents safely.
To download Aadhaar card from WhatsApp, you must have this thing:
- Mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
- An active Digilocker account (if not, can create a digilocker website or app).
- The official WhatsApp number of MyGov Helpdesk: +91-9013151515, saved in your phone.
Step-step guide to download Aadhaar from WhatsApp
- Save +91-9013151515 number in contacts under the name MyGov Helpdesk.
- Open WhatsApp and start chat on this contact.
- Write Namaste or Hi to start.
- When asked, choose Digilocker Services.
- Confirm whether you have a Digilocker account or not. If not, then you have to make first.
- Now enter your 12 -digit Aadhaar number.
- OTP will come on your registered mobile number, put it in chat.
- After verification, the chatbot will show the list of documents in your Digilocker.
- Choose Aadhaar from the list (typing the correct number).
- Your Aadhaar card will be found directly on WhatsApp chat in PDF format.
