New Delhi. In recent years, the market of fake iPhone has increased rapidly, especially during major shopping events such as Flipkart and Amazon’s festival sale, fake devices are filled in the market. According to recent reports, the market of fake iPhone has now become millions of dollars.
1. Check IMEI and serial number
Every smartphone, whether it is iPhone or Android, is a unique IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number which is essential for device verification.
Search IMEI: View stickers on the iPhone box, or dial $*#06 \\#$ on the phone’s keypad.
Check the mail: If you do not match the number given on the IMEI number box displayed on the phone, the iPhone you bought is almost certainly fake.
2. Confirm Operating System (OS)
The real iPhone owned Apple’s iOS operating system. Fake devices often run on the modified version of Android designed to resemble iOS.
Check OS: Go to your iPhone settings.
Identify the fake: Since the iOS user interface is different from Android and other mobile OS, if the software looks unfamiliar or has Android-specific elements, you should immediately doubt. If the phone is not running on iOS, it is fake.
3. Check authenticity on Apple’s website
The most reliable way of checking authenticity is through Apple’s official coverage checker.
Go to the website: Go to Apple’s official check coverage page: https://checkcoverage.apple.com/?locale=en_in
Enter the details: Enter the serial number of the device (which can be found on the box or in Settings> General> About) and the required verification code (Captcha).
Please attest it: If the serial number is invalid or does not match your device (such as a separate model or purchasing date), the phone is possibly fake.
4. Check out external design and construction
Although this is the lowest decisive way, iPhone has a specific look, design language and premium manufacturing quality that is quite different from most Android phones. Check the device carefully:
Material: Does the frame feel cheap, weak or plastic?
Logo and text: Are Apple logo or back text markings a little blurred or unnecessary?
button: Do the buttons move or are unanswered?
