This step has been taken to make the journey more flexible for those passengers and to ensure better use of those seats that remain empty after the departure of the train. This facility has been implemented on the selected Vande Bharat Express routes under the South Railway Zone.

Currently, this facility is applied only to only eight Vande Bharat Express trains which operate in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. These include these trains:

• 20632 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Central

• 20627 Chennai Agmore – Nagercoil

• 20628 Nagerkoil – Chennai Egmore

• 20642 Coimbatore – Bengaluru Cantt.

• 20646 Mangaluru Central – Madgaon

• 20671 Madurai – Bengaluru Cantt.

• 20677 Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Vijayawada

In these trains, passengers climbing from the stations between the route can now take advantage of the booking window at the last minute.

1. Go to IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in or open the IRCTC Rail Connect mobile app.

2. Use your existing IRCTC credentials or create a new account if you are using for the first time.
