For the online process, you have to go to the official website of UIDAI and follow the instructions given there. 1. First go to the official website of UIDAI (https://uidai.gov.in).
2. Go to “My Aadhaar” section and click on “Update Your Aadhaar”.
3. Now click on “Update Demographics Data Online”.
4. Login by entering your Aadhaar number and captcha code.
5. OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Verify it by adding it.
6. Now select the “Name” option and enter a new name.
7. Upload the required documents that certify your new name. Such as passport, PAN card, driving license etc.
8. After submitting, you will get a URN (Update Request Number). Note it so that you can track your update status.
