New Delhi. The great Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar (July 6) gave special congratulations for India’s first Test victory under the captaincy of Shubman Gill on Sunday (July 6). Under Gill’s captaincy, India won the second Test by defeating England by 336 runs. Gill scored 269 runs from 387 balls in the first innings and 161 off 162 balls in the second innings. Akashdeep won Sachin’s heart in this match.
In his tweet, Sachin also praised Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja besides Gill and gave special greetings to Mohammad Siraj for excellent catch for dismissing Josh Tung. He wrote, “Congratulations, Shubman Gill to give India a brilliant Test victory! Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Ravindra Jadeja, especially played very well in the second innings.”
