The helicopter crashed into the forests of Gaurikund. Initial information has revealed that the accident occurred due to bad weather. Relief-rescue work has been started. Rescue team is also being sent from Gaurikund. The helicopter belongs to Aryan Aviation Company.
Regarding the accident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said- ‘The sad news of the helicopter crashed in Rudraprayag has been received. SDRF, local administration and other rescue teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations. I wish all the passengers to be safe.

The helicopter was going to Gangotri Dham. According to the administration, 7 seater helicopters were riding 5 women and 2 men, including pilot Robin. The helicopter belonged to Ahmedabad based Erotense Service Private Limited Company in Gujarat. It was a bell-VT-QXF helicopter.
