The NIA seized digital devices and goods by raiding the Amritsar police station in Haryana Punjab.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has intensified the investigation of the grenade attack at Amritsar police station. The agency has raided 15 locations of people associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BBKI) terrorist organization in Punjab and Haryana.

During the raid, the team seized suspicious items like mobile, digital equipment and documents from their homes. At the same time, the NIA team is also investigating more information and exposing the real conspiracy of the BKI gang.

Gangster Happy Passian took responsibility for the attack

In January 2025, there was a grenade attack at Gumtala police post in Amritsar district of Punjab. The allegations were taken by Babbar Khalsa International (‌BKI), who was banned, and the responsibility of the attack was accepted by his member Happy Passes.

On Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) intensified the investigation of the case. The team raided 15 places including Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Kapurthala, Rupnagar and Sirsa in Haryana.

It was clear from the investigation that the attack on Gumtala police post was part of a plan for attacks on police stations in the northern states.

The attack was funded by Saravan from America

Investigation revealed that the money for the attack was given by Saravan Singh alias Bhola, who lives in the US. He had delivered money to Bagga Singh alias Rinku and Mandeep Singh Magga. Bagga was arrested by the Punjab Police in February 2025, which started the first investigation into the case. While Mandeep is currently absconding.

The investigation caught pace only when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took the responsibility of this and registered a new case. At that time, the NIA also searched the house of the accused, suspicious people and Saravan alias Bhola and his brother Mandeep Singh Mecca, who lives in America.

Notorious drug smuggler cheetah’s brother is Bhola and Mecca

Ranjit Singh alias Cheetah, accused of smuggling 532 kg heroin, was hidden between the salt brought from Afghanistan to Pakistan in Punjab, was arrested by Haryana Police and NIA teams from Sirsa five years ago. Bhola and Mecca are the brother of the same infamous drug smuggler Ranjit Singh alias Cheetah. Saravan Singh Bhola is also an accused in the second narco-terraler case.
