New Delhi. If you use UPI, then there is good news for you. From June 16, you will get better services of UPI. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has announced a necessary update in the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system, which has been implemented since 16 June 2025. Due to this update, now the UPI transaction will be reduced in time. The reaction time of 30 seconds to check the state’s status and reverse the payment will be reduced to just 10 seconds. With this change, the process of sending and getting money through UPI will be very fast and more efficient for all users.
The circulars issued by NPCI on April 26, 2025, have been designed for these updates. In this, it has been told by detail that not only the transaction situation and the reversal but also to send or receive money will be reduced from 30 seconds to 10 seconds. Apart from this, the time required to verify a address will be reduced from 15 seconds to 10 seconds. NPCI actually wants to improve the experience of transactions with UPI through these updates.
Why NPCI took these steps
UPI Down was down several times during April 2025. Because of this, millions of users using UPI had to face trouble. After these incidents in April, this change of NPCI has come. However, this was the first time that many UPI users had to face technical problems. Users had also made their concern on social media about this. NPCI, while addressing these concerns on social media, admitted that NPCI is currently facing intermittent technical problems, due to which the UPI transaction is falling. We are working to solve this problem, and will keep you updated. We are sorry for inconvenience.
