New Delhi. The temporary suspension or ban on IPL team Gujarat Titans fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been lifted. Rabada of South Africa can now play in Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians match. Many questions have arisen from the news of the removal of it within three days of the news of the suspension of Rabada. Former Australia captain Tim Paine has demanded transparency in the Rabada case. He said that it should be told which banned substance Rabada had taken and when he was tested.

South Africa’s Drug Free Sports (SAIDS) issued a statement on Monday in the ban on Cagiso Rabada. It states that Rabada has completed the ‘drug intake treatment program’. So now they can play for IPL team Gujarat Titans. The 30 -year -old Rabada has also joined the Gujarat team after completing the suspension. The next match of Gujarat Titans will be with Mumbai Indians on Tuesday. Rabada can be seen playing in it. Cagiso Rabada left after playing two matches in the IPL. He has been bought by the Gujarat team for Rs 10 crore 75 lakh.

Rabada failed in dope test in January
According to African drug free sports, Rabada was found positive in dope test during SA 20 in January. Now with the removal of suspension, he will be able to play the World Test Championship Final against the IPL as well as Australia next month. The statement said, ‘Rabada was found guilty of intake of banned substance. He was informed about it on 1 April 2025. He was temporary suspension and immediately returned to South Africa from India.

One month suspension completed
It said, ‘According to South Africa Doping Prevention Rules, Rabada was offered to complete the drug intake treatment program. Rabada completed two sessions of this program satisfactorily. After this, the suspension on them was removed. They have suffered a month suspension and can now return to the game.

Suspension for cocaine, heroin and ganja
According to the statement, cocaine, heroin, MDMA and hemp are one of the substances for which Rabada was suspended. A maximum of four -year ban is imposed for this, but if the player proves that he did not consume it during a tournament or he has not done so to improve the performance, then the ban can be reduced to three months. If he agrees to participate in the treatment program, it can be reduced to one month.
