Rio Olympics silver medal winner and 2015 world champion Julius Jeo of Kenya, in his fourth attempt, threw the best of the 84.51 meter season and finished second in NC Classic 2025. Sri Lanka’s Ramesh Pathirge finished third with a throw of 84.34 meters. Two-time Olympic medalist 27-year-old Chopra won the title in his third attempt at Sri Kantirwa Stadium in the presence of his parents. This is Chopra’s third consecutive title. He earlier won the title at Paris Diamond League (20 June) and Golden Spike (24 June) in Ostrava, Poland. The Neeraj Chopra classic competition was attended by 12 spear throw players, including the players who threw seven top international javelin. Five Indian players including Chopra also presented a challenge.
