On June 7, the Health Minister of Goa had reprimanded Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar in front of everyone, accusing Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar of misbehaving with the patients.
Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), has rejected the apology of Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
Dr. Kuttikar held a press conference and said that Rane’s apology is just a “studio waiver” and it cannot be accepted. He has demanded that the minister come to the same hospital ward and publicly apologize, where he was humiliated.
Earlier, Minister Vishwajit Rane on Monday apologized to the CMO in the case of misconduct. He said on the social media platform x that the way I handled the situation in the heat of the moment, I am very sad.
At the same time, GMCH doctors have decided to continue the strike. Doctors say that medical services will remain closed until the ministers publicly apologize.

Minister Rane reprimanded the doctor
Health Minister Rane conducted a surprise inspection of GMCH on 7 June. During this, he accused Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar on duty of misbehaving with the patients and reprimanded everyone. He also ordered the doctor to suspend. However, the Goa government has later withdrawn the suspension.
The video of the incident went viral on social media. In this, Health Minister Rane had shown a finger towards the doctor and said, ‘You learn to control your tongue, you are a doctor. I usually do not lose my temper, but you have to treat patients properly. ‘
Health Minister said- The status of doctors in society is great
The Health Minister apologized to the doctor and wrote in his post, ‘The status of doctors in our society is sacred and great. They work very hard to save people’s lives. I must have made a mistake in my way of talking, but my intention was that no patient should be delayed in getting timely care.
‘This issue is being politicized. I appeal to the doctors to return to duty with the same passion and commitment for whom their profession is known. Patients should not have trouble due to any misunderstanding.

Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane posted on Monday at 11:38 AM.
GMC doctors are demanding public apology
