It was decided in the meeting that GDA will now acquire the land purchased by UPCA. After that the construction of the stadium will be started. This entire project will be done on the PPP model. That is, the government and private companies will make it together. In this model, GDA will have a stake in both construction costs and land. While the work of construction of stadium will be done through private companies.
Some time ago, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath entrusted the responsibility of building a stadium to GDA during the visit to Ghaziabad. After that the GDA started working fast. Earlier there were many obstacles in this project, such as the land’s landuse change, problems with the floor area ratio (FAR), and the expenses of passing the map. Now when GDA itself is involved in this. All these obstacles will be easily overcome. Ghaziabad is a large and fast developing city of NCR adjacent to Delhi. There is no dearth of sports talent here. But till now there was not a single world -class cricket stadium. Because of this, the players of Ghaziabad were forced to go to Delhi, Kanpur or Lucknow for matches. Now with the formation of a stadium, they will be able to get better facilities in their own city.
Young players will benefit
Cricket lovers say that with the formation of the stadium, young players like Under-16, Under-19 of Ghaziabad will get a lot of benefit. Now they will not have to go out again and again for trial, training or tournaments. Apart from this, national and international level matches will also be possible here. Which will strengthen both the identity and economy of the city. Under the PPP model, when a private company and government work together, the project is completed quickly and well. Private companies will make the stadium modern and spectacular with their experience and technical expertise. This will also reduce the burden of spending on the government. The people of Ghaziabad now hope that the stadium that they had been dreaming for years will soon turn in reality. This dream can be fulfilled soon with the direct monitoring of the Chief Minister and the activeness of the GDA.
