This scheme is especially for BPL card holders, Antyodaya Yojana beneficiaries, economically weaker sections (EWS) patients and patients who have been referred by a government doctor.
– The patient will first have to see a doctor in his nearest government hospital or CHC.
– Taking referral slip and Aadhaar cards can be done by reaching the district hospital between Monday to Saturday, 8 am and 2 pm.
According to Dr. Santosh Yadav, Senior Doctor of CHC, the objective of this scheme is to provide expensive investigations to the patients of poor sections at very cheap rates, so that they can get treatment on time. Often, due to weak financial condition, patients are unable to conduct necessary checks and due to lack of treatment at the right time, their lives are lost.
This initiative of the government will not only bring expensive Tests to the common people, but due to timely investigation, treatment will accelerate and patients will also get great financial relief.
