New Delhi. The entire India is sad for the family of fans who lost their lives in the Victory Parade in Bangalore, the winning team of Indian Premier League 2025. Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir gave his response to the stampede before leaving for England. He expressed condolences to the 11 people killed and said what is the need to do such a road show. The team has won the victory, it is enough to celebrate it and if you cannot make strong arrangements, then such an event should not be done.

India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir expressed concern over the tragic stampede in Bengaluru, in which 11 people lost their lives and around 50 people were injured. The incident took place outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday where a large crowd gathered to celebrate Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL 2025 victory. Although the event was organized through tickets and was organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), about 2.5 lakh fans gathered in the stadium complex, causing chaos and a deadly stampede.

The dead included young men and women between 13 and 35 years of age. Six deaths were reported in Boring Hospital, four in Vaidehi Hospital and one in Manipal Hospital. Talking to the media, Gambhir said that there is no need for such open road shows. “I always believed that we did not need a road show. I used to believe even when I was playing. Even after winning the World Cup in 2007, I said that we should not do road shows. Life is more important and I will keep saying the same in future. When we cannot make strong arrangements for such an event, then we should not make such arrangements”

The coach again spoke of thought on the way the teams celebrate with the fans. Gambhir urged the organizers to take more care. “In future we should be a little more aware when planning these road shows. We can consider organizing such celebrations indoor. We should not have done this. Fans get excited, fanbes get emotional but there is nothing more important than human life. You cannot lose 11 people at any time. I should not lose 11 people.
