Elizabeth Kalbourne is a British citizen, wife of Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi. Assam CM has been accusing Elizabeth of being associated with ISI for a long time.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma on Monday questioned the Pakistani connection of Elizabeth Kalbourne, foreign wife of Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi. He tweeted on X, in which senior Congress leader Ripun Bora was quoted as saying that MP Gaurav Gogoi’s wife was taking salary from the Pakistan government.

Himanta wrote in the post- Yesterday a senior Congress leader Ripun Bora made a shocking confession. Bora admitted that the British wife of Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi was on the parole of the Government of Pakistan. If this is true, it raises serious questions on the national security of the country.

‘Such direct relation between the wife and enemy country of the deputy speaker of the country’s main opposition party is a great threat to the unity and security of the country. We did not know about this shocking facts earlier. Now that this thing has come to light, it should be investigated seriously. National security cannot be compromised. We will record Bora’s statements and take further steps.

Assam Chief Minister has been alleging for a long time that Gogoi and his British wife Elizabeth Kalbourne have a relationship with ISI of Pakistan. Himanta had earlier alleged that Elizabeth Kalbourne gets salary from an NGO in Pakistan and is not an Indian citizen.

Himanta has said that we will soon record the statement of Ripun Bora and take whatever steps have to be taken in the interest of the country’s security.

Assam CM had said- Gogoi’s wife went to Pakistan 19 times Earlier, Himanta Biswa Sarma had claimed serious allegations against Gaurav Gogoi’s wife Elizabeth on 6 May, claiming that he had relations with Pakistan and the army there. Assam CM, while addressing a press conference, said that Elizabeth traveled between India and Pakistan 19 times and was accompanied by Pakistani Army officials during their visits.

According to the claim of the BJP CM, ‘Elizabeth worked in Pakistan and then came to Delhi to work in an NGO. However, during this time he continued to get salary from Pakistan. Gogoi himself also went to Pakistan and stayed there for 15 days.

Himanta said, ‘His wife had also gone with Gogoi, but she returned seven days later, while Gogoi stayed for seven more days. Gogoi should tell what he did in Pakistan for 15 days. Did he help the Pakistani army in a direct or indirect manner? ‘
