According to Tabassum Talkies, Mac Mohan had told about ‘Sholay’ that he felt that he was going to have an important role in the beginning. But when the picture was completed and he saw the film, he wept. Because his role was quite small. He reached Ramesh Sippy directly and complained. Then what Ramesh Sippy said came true.
Mac Mohan wept after seeing Sholay’s release print
Mac Mohan told in the interview, ‘I shot Sholay a lot. I also went to Bangalore for this. I was thinking that I would be one of the heroes. But when the picture was released and we saw the release print, I started crying completely. Had to find himself. I was surprised to see that the bass of shooting was given such a role.
Ramesh had expressed anger by going to Sippy
He further explains, ‘I went to Ramesh Sippy. I said why it kept it too. They would also do not cut it. He laughed and said that I cut as many scenes as I could. Then he said that if this picture goes on, then you will call you the child in the name of the child Sambha.
The truth came true
Ramesh Sippy told Mac Mohan. The same thing happened. After the release of Sholay, he dominated all around. Even today people know him by the name of Sambha. He plays the villain of Gabbar Singh’s gang in the film. Who had a famous dialogue, Hey! O sambha! How many men were there?’.

He appeared in hit films ranging from Don, debt, power, chained to Shan and Khoon Sweat. Mac Mohan started his career as an assistant to Chetan Anand.

You will be surprised to know that Mac Mohan worked in many languages across the country. Bhojpuri, Haryanvi, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali to Sindhi were part of films. Not only this, from English to Russian and Spanish films. Mac is no longer in this world. In 2010, he passed away at the age of 72.
