France’s tech brand Alcatel is returning to the Indian market. The company will launch smartphones in a segment of Rs 20,000-25,000. Four models have been listed on Flipkart.

New Delhi. France’s famous tech brand Alcatel is ready to create a panic in the Indian smartphone market. Altakel’s ownership is with Chinese company TCL Communications. The company has said that Alkatel will soon launch its new smartphone range in India. The special thing is that the company will make these phones in India only. Alcatel has an old relationship with India. In 1996, it entered the Indian market with a cordless phone. In 2006, it started selling telecom equipment after merger with Luceant. In 2016, Nokia bought Alcatel-Luceant, and in 2018 the company sold its last handset in India. But now Alcatel is making a comeback with full enthusiasm.
Atul Vivek, Chief Business Officer of the Indian unit of TCL, Nextsel India, told PTI-language that the company’s initial investment scheme is US $ 30 million, but the rest of the plans will completely depend on what kind of response we get and which models we decide to launch. He said, “We will sell our smartphone on both the main platform of Flipkart and its Quick Commerce Arm FK minutes. The company hopes that it will launch its Made-in-India smartphone in late May or early June.”

Special attention at price
Alcatel will pay special attention to the price and features of its smartphone in India. Atul Vivek said that the company sees a huge opportunity in the segment worth more than Rs 20,000-25,000. In this segment, the company will launch a stylis smartphone in which there will be features that are available in the segment smartphone worth more than Rs 80,000 in the Indian market. It is being estimated that the company will launch the phone of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Infinix Note 5 Style’s conflict in the Indian market.
Four phones listed with ‘Coming Soon’ tag
Alcatel has announced to sell his phone in Flipkart’s partnership. The special thing is that Alcatel’s four models on Flipkart have also been listed with the tag ‘Coming Soon’. Alcatel Idol 4, Alcatel U5 HD, Alcatel 3x and Alcatel Vanatch Flash 6042D have been list on Flipkart. Although these models are not new, they will come for sale for the first time in India.
