New Delhi. Former Indian fast bowler Varun Aaron was appointed as his bowling coach on Monday by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2026 IPL session. Aaron will replace New Zealand’s left -arm former fast bowler James Franklin. Aaron played nine Tests and the same ODI for India between 2011 and 2015. Aaron has started working as a cricket expert on television after his retirement.

Sunrisers wrote on their ‘X’, “A great increase in our coaching staff. Varun Aaron is welcome as our new bowling coach. Thirty -five -year -old Aaron held his last competitive match against Goa in Jaipur on January 5 this year, Vijay Hazare Trophy for Jharkhand.

At the beginning of Aaron career, he made his mark as a young fast bowler who was able to cross the speed of 150 kmph. The top officials of Indian cricket paid a lot of attention to Aaron and another emerging fast bowler Umesh Yadav at that time. Umesh played more than 50 Tests for the country, while Aaron’s career could not climb due to continuous injury.
