In Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary, the Forest Department has prepared a special area of 8900 hectares for cheetahs. Arrangements have been made to settle 8 to 10 cheetahs here. The sanctuary for their food has more than 150 chital, more than 80 chinkara, more than 50 white boards and more than 50 Nilgai. Apart from this, there is already a large number of deer.

Ponds have been built in the Sanctuary area for special water arrangements.
DFO Sanjay Raikhare informed that Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary is an important part of Mandsaur parliamentary constituency. The influx of cheetahs is expected to promote tourism here.

Make 3 fads, team of 20 people will reach Three enclosures have been built for the cheetah project in the 34 km area of Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary. A special fence is built in a periphery of 16 kilometers, where the cheetahs will be kept. Preparations were going on for 2 years to make food and water arrangements here.
A team of 20 people including CCF Uttam Kumar Sharma, Dr. Omkar Achal from Kuno National Park in Sheopur district will reach Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary by around 4 pm with both cheetahs in two air conditions vehicles. This team will stay in the sanctuary for about 7 days and look after the cheetahs and will teach the local staff tricks.

From Kuno National Park, Prabhash and Pavak are being shifted to Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary.
Shifting by road will take 8 hours Cheetahs are being brought into sanitized vehicles from Kuno National Park. Through the cages in which cheetahs were brought from South Africa, they are being transported to Gandhi Sagar. They will take 8 hours to reach, so they also have vehicles and teams with emergency medical facilities. The leopards will reach Gandhi Sagar National Park while traveling without stopping. Here they will be left in a 6 square kilometer enclosure.

Small water tanks have also been built for cheetahs in Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary.
Both leopards were in enclosure for two years Pavak and Prabhash were locked in the enclosure of Kuno National Park. He was caught in the enclosure in July 2023, as some cheetahs died due to infection in the neck.
Now 24 leopards will be left in Kuno After these two cheetahs leave from Kuno National Park, 24 leopards will remain here. These include 13 Indians while 11 are foreign leopards. 17 out of these 24 leopards are currently running in the open forest of Kuno National Park.
