Mumbai. Mike Hodges, British director of films like ‘Flash Gordon’ and ‘Krupier’, has passed away. He was 90 years old. According to the report of ‘People’ magazine, Mike Capul, the producer of ‘I Will Sleep Wann I Am Dad’, confirmed his death from NBC News.

According to Caple, Hodes died due to heart rate in his house in England’s Dorset. Hodes has a long career, he was working since the 1950s. Before making films debut in films, he spent two years in compulsory national service on Royal Navy Minsvipar, which he credited as an inspiration for his first film ‘Gate Carter’.

In a letter published by The Guardian in May, he said: “I was a victim of terrible poverty and lack for two years. I went as a new chartered accountant in the Navy and left with an angry radical.”

He further said, ‘Twenty years later, when I was asked to make a film on Ted Lewis’s great book, I recognized that world and associated my own experiences with it.’ His second film ‘Pulp’ came out a year after the release of ‘Gate Carter’ in 1971. Then in the 1980s, the talent of the direction of Hows in the 1980s emerged prominently with ‘Flash Gordon’.
