New Delhi: Bollywood filmmaker Prerna Arora is once again trapped in legal trouble. The Versova police have registered a new case against him, in which he is accused of cheating producer Kashish Khan for Rs 1.33 crore. This complaint is related to the 2018 film ‘Fanney Khan’, in which Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao starred. In the FIR filed on April 30, serious allegations like fraud, forgery have been made against Prerna Arora and her mother Protima Arora.
According to the report of News18 English, 37 -year -old Kashish Khan, who lives in Andheri West, met Prerna Arora in 2018 through his friends. At that time, Prerna Arora introduced herself as a talented producer, who worked with Bollywood’s big names like Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Aishwarya Rai. Prerna Arora’s profile and contacts raised trust in her. She claimed that she had a fixed deposit of 60 crores, but due to technical reasons she was not able to take a loan against it. He asked Kashish Khan to invest in the film project, assuring that it would be a safe and beneficial deal.
Kashish Khan demands justice
Prerna Arora persuaded Kashish Khan to invest 50 lakhs in ‘Fanne Khan’, promising that he would get a firm return of 10 lakhs, five percent profit in the film’s earnings and a credit of co-producer. Kashish Khan, impressed by the proposal, released a check in March 2018 and entered into an agreement. However, the deal was not directly with Prerna Arora, but with her mother Protima Arora, who was listed as the director of Sudha Kiraj Entertainment Private Limited. This fact later became important when Kashish Khan demanded justice.
Kashish Khan cheated!
When ‘Fanney Khan’ was released in 2019, Kashish Khan suffered a shock that his name was not in the credit of the film and he did not get any benefit. When he asked Prerna Arora about the violation of the conditions, he allegedly told him that his father was ill and postponed further conversation by making an emotional appeal. Inspiration to assure Prerna Arora, allegedly showed Kashish Khan a fixed deposit certificate of 60 crores, saying that the money would be returned soon. But despite repeated followups, the promise was not fulfilled.
