Fih Pro League: India’s fourth consecutive defeat,

AmstelviJugraj Singh failed to score a goal for India, causing the team to face 1-2 defeat to Argentina on Thursday in the European phase of FIH Pro League (FIH Pro League). This is the fourth defeat in four matches on this tour of the Indian team. After this, India has to go to Belgium to play from Australia.

Drag flicker Jugraj scored India by scoring a goal on the first penalty corner of the match in the fourth minute, but Tomas Domene (ninth and 49th minute) won Argentina by scoring two goals from the penalty corner. After trailing 1-2 in the fourth and final quarters, India got a penalty stroke two minutes before the last hooter and Jugraj put the ball inside the Argentina’s goal post. Argentina asked for a video referral on the basis that Jugraj’s left leg was far ahead of the ball while taking stroke.

The video umpire ruled in favor of Argentina but India-led captain Hardik Singh asked the referee to investigate whether Argentina goalkeeper Tomas Santiago was ahead of Gol-Line before Jugraj’s stroke. This time India got a favorable decision from the video umpire. Jugraj was allowed to take stroke again, but this time Santiago saved his shot.

Regular captain Harmanpreet Singh is out due to finger injury, so Hardik led India. Argentina received eight penalty corners, while India got only three. India had to face 3-4 defeat to this rival on Wednesday earlier. The Olympic champions were lost to the Netherlands 1-2 and 2-3 during this European phase of India Pro League. This was India’s fourth and last match here and now the team will travel to Antwerp in Belgium to face strong Australia on Saturday.
