Fide Women's World Cup Divya shocked Jiner, 4 in Indian quarterfinals

Divya Divya Deshmukhane surprised everyone by defeating second seed Chinese player Jhu Jiner 1.5-0.5 in the pre-quarterfinal.

New Delhi. Indian women players have given a chance to joy with the FIDE Women’s World Cup by achieving great success. Divya Deshmukh, Koneru Hampi, Harika Dronali and R.K. Vaishali has confirmed a place in the quarter -finals on Friday. All these players achieved great success by reaching the quarterfinals of FIDE Women’s World Cup held in Batumi, Georgia. Creating history, India has launched four players in the final eight of this tournament for the first time.

Divya surprised everyone by defeating second seed Chinese player Zhu Jiner 1.5–0.5 in the pre-quarterfinals. He won with black pieces in the first game and draws white pieces in the second game. Veteran Hampi also defeated Alexandra Costeneuk of Switzerland 1.5–0.5 in Tybrex. Hampi will take on the Yushin Song of China to make it to the semi -finals.
