Top seeded India’s number one player R Pragyananda and American Grandmaster Jeffrey Xiang were a bet.

Putting champion Vidit Gujarati defeated Germany’s Alexander Donchenko, while P Harikrishna lost to Slovenia’s Anton Denchenkov while playing with white pieces. Nihal Sarin was stopped by Sven Rasmus of Germany on a draw.
