New Delhi. Meta is going to bring a big change in its social media platform Facebook. Facebook has announced that every video uploaded on the platform will now be shown as reel on the platform. Whether it is a short clip or a full length video, all the content will now be seen under the reels ecosystem. Meta has confirmed this change through a blog post, stating that “you will continue to see all the length of the length related to the growing community of creators on your interests and Facebook.”
This change reflects a uniform step made by Instagram in 2022, where videos of less than 15 minutes were automatically shared as reel. Meta is now planning to bring a new feature on its platform, which will help to make users’ experience easier and promote the use of AI tools.
More creative tools for all
Now why all videos will be posted as reel, it is believed that users will reach advanced creative options, such as
Filter and visual effect
On-screen text and stickers
This upgrade is especially important for creators, as it allows them to use the entire toolkit of the reel without switching between the format – regardless of the length of the video.
Audience Settings and Privacy
This update will also integrate the audience setting for both reels and regular feed posts. Users who previously had different privacy settings for standard videos and reels will be asked to confirm or update their priority.
Will be rolled out slowly
This change will not happen overnight. Meta has confirmed that this feature will start gradually in the coming months. This will provide time to creators and everyday users to get into a new form.
