SP Gaurav Rai of Dantewada district has confirmed the encounter. He said that the presence of Maoists in the forests of Indravati region of Bijapur was reported, after which about 400 soldiers were sent for operation. The soldiers have killed 146 Naxalites so far in 2025.
Maoists’ possibility of heavy losses
According to SP Gaurav Rai, this is a joint operation of both districts. The search operation is still going on. Maoists are likely to suffer heavy losses in the encounter. The situation will be cleared when the encounter ends. Only then will the Naxalites be able to find out. The encounter continues at present.
Talk of 1 Naxalite killed in Ambeli blast
One of the two Naxalites killed is coming to light in the Ambeli blast incident in Bijapur district on 6 January. Naxalites blasted an IED and flown a vehicle filled with soldiers. 8 soldiers and one driver were killed in the blast.
Renuka, a prize of 45 lakhs killed 12 days ago
On Dantewada and Bijapur borders, security forces had killed 45 lakh -prize female Naxalite leader Renuka alias Banu in an encounter. Renuka Dkszc-Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee was a member. An INSAS rifle, ammunition and laptop were recovered along the body.
Earlier on March 25, security forces killed 3 Naxalites including Rs 25 lakh prize Naxalite Sudhir alias Sudhakar. In the Bastar range, the soldiers have recovered the bodies of 119 Naxalites so far in 2025.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived on a tour of Bastar 6 days ago, had said in Dantewada that the red terror will end by the next Chaitra Navratri. Naxalism from Bastar is on the verge of ending. Appealed to the Naxalites to surrender.
