We often hear that the best time to do yoga is an empty stomach in the morning. But have you ever wondered why this is said? Yoga and health experts believe that when you do yoga without eating anything, it has good effect on both body and mind. According to Yoga Trainer and Yoga 4 Life co-founder Kavita Arora, there is pressure on our stomach while doing yoga. If we have eaten food and then do yoga, then due to this pressure, the part of the food can come up. This can cause problems like gas, acidity and sour belching.
Ayurveda experts also believe that doing yoga after eating can cause problems. After eating, blood flow in the stomach becomes for digestion. In such a situation, by doing yoga, the stomach feels heavy, there may be a complaint of indigestion and a person may feel uncomfortable. However, experts definitely advise that only Vajrasana can be done after eating, which benefits digestion. To perform the rest of yoga, it is necessary to give a gap of at least 3 to 3 and a half hours. For example, if you have eaten food at 2 pm in the afternoon, then the right time to do yoga will be between 5 and 6 pm. This will neither affect digestion nor will there be any hindrance in yoga. So next time you do yoga, keep in mind that the stomach is empty. With this, not only will you be able to do the rugs in a better way, but you will also get full benefit.
