AIIMS Delhi and IIT Delhi’s consent initiative is that people who are struggling with vitamin D deficiency for any reason and they are not able to go into the sun, without supplementation in the body of such people, the lack of vitamin D in the sun can be met without supplements. According to health experts, vitamin D is a very important nutrient for our body. It is not only essential for bones and teeth, but it also plays an important role in the immune system, muscles and body functioning. Vitamin D deficiency can cause many problems including bone weakness, osteoparosis.
The World Health Organization has fixed a parameter regarding vitamin D supplements in which regular vitamin supplements have been fixed from 800 to 1000 international units. Usually the capsule of vitamin D is 6000 IG and this capsule is used as a booster dose when there is a deficiency of vitamin D in the body.
These days the deficiency of Vitamin-D is becoming a common thing. The problem is that vitamin D not only keeps the bone strong but is helpful in keeping every part of the body healthy. Its very big source is sunlight. Apart from this, there are some food products in which some of its quantities are found. But those who are unable to take sunlight due to their work, illness or any other reason, they have the only way to meet vitamin D deficiency, which can now remove the chip.
Dr. Vivek Dixit, Assistant Professor of Reproductive Biology of AIIMS, said that sunlight contains UVB (Ultraviolet B) and UVB contains vitamin D, which has 290–315Nm levels. Therefore, a sensor is to develop a chip that absorbs Ultraviolet B and the ability of this chip should be such that it can start the process of becoming vitamin D in the body after exposure to the skin.
Experts say that, just as the solar panel gives light from the sun, similarly photovoltic effects, which releases electrons with photons, will work on the same technique, when it is kept in sunlight, it will be able to take UVB from sunlight and it will be able to take vitamin de transfer in the skin of human body.
