In Janakpuri, West Delhi, a 19 -year -old boy hit two bicycle riders on Thursday morning and then entered a slum. Two people died and three people were injured in the accident, including a pregnant woman and a child. The boy was drunk and driving the car at a high speed.
According to the police, the accused boy Harsh Sehrawat was returning from Gurugram with his friend and lost control of the car while looking for a dhaba. The car was very fast and first he hit the bicycle riders, then dragged a person for about 300 meters and entered the slum.
The deceased have been identified as Anish Ansari (45) and Phool Singh (35). Anish used to work in a factory and was returning home by bicycle. Phool Singh lived in this slum. They used to make spices here. He was sleeping in his house at the time of the accident. Phool Singh’s pregnant wife Soni and his 5 -year -old nephew were also injured in the accident.
The young man was returning from the function of Gurugram
According to police investigation, a 19 -year -old man named Harsh was driving his Swift car at the time of the accident and his friend Pankaj was sitting with him. Both were returning from Gurugram to attend a function and were looking for a dhaba on the way. At the same time, Harsh lost control of the car due to high speed in Janakpuri area and hit two bicycle riders and entered a slum.
Police said Harsh had a driving license, but was drunk. Phool Singh and his family were sleeping in the slum at the time of the accident. The car first climbed on Phool Singh, who was sleeping on the ground, then his wife Soni and a five -year -old nephew also hit the bed.
Phool Singh has four children- two sons (about 7 and 5 years old) and two daughters (about 10 and 2 years old). His wife Soni is three months pregnant and is going to give birth to a fifth child soon. At the same time, the deceased Anish Ansari was a resident of Sitamarhi in Bihar and has four children.
Local people said- car dragged a person 300 meters
Local people said that the car hit a bicycle near a temple on the first fan road. A bicycle rider fell on the roadside and Aneesh Ansari was dragged by the car for about 300 meters.
After this, the car entered the slum and climbed on the chest of Phool Singh. Then he also hit his wife and nephew.
A young man told that all the people were sleeping, so the sound of the first collision was not taken very seriously, but when the sound of a loud collision came in the slum, people came out.
Another local resident said that if the car did not hit the bike nearby, many more people sleeping in the slums could have been killed.
Police caught the driver, legal action continues
After the incident, people gathered and took out both the youths sitting in the car. People say that both were drunk. Someone informed the police, after which the police reached the spot at around 3:30 pm and the injured were taken to the hospital. Where two people were declared dead and the rest continues to be treated. The police have caught the accused driver and legal action is being taken against him.
