Declaration of 19 -member boxing team for Thailand Open, faced with teams like Japan, Korea

New Delhi. India’s 19 -member boxing team will participate in the fourth Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament to be held in Bangkok from 24 May to June 1. Top national teams from the entire continent will participate in the Thailand Open held under Asian boxing, including strong teams like China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Japan, Korea and host country Thailand.

The team consists of 10 men and nine women. The Indian Boxing Federation (BFI), run by the Interim Committee, gave a chance to the silver medalists of this year’s male and female national championship as per its selection criteria. Ajay Singh, chairman of the Interim Committee Ajay Singh said, “Thailand Open is the beginning of a busy international calendar which includes the World Championship in Liverpool after the World Cup phase tournament in Kazakhstan, the World Cup final in New Delhi and the Asian Championships including many major tournaments.”

Naothoi Singh Kongkham (47-50 kg), Pawan Bertwal (50-55 kg), Nikhil (55-60 kg), Amit Kumar (60-65 kg), Hemant Yadav (65-70 kg), Deepak (70-75 kg), Dhruv Singh (75-80 kg), Jugnu (80-85 kg), Naman Tanwar (80-85 kg) (85–90 kg), and Anshul Gill (90 kg+).

Women’s Mains team squad:

Yasika Rai (45-48 kg), Tamanna (48-51 kg), Abha Singh (51-54 kg), Priya (54-57 kg), Sanju (57-60 kg), Sneh (65-70 kg), Anjali (70-75 kg), Lalfakamavi Railarte (75-80 kg), and rays (80 kg+)
