Darbhanga: The youth of Darbhanga and Mithilanchal were not aware of basketball yet, but now the youth here will also learn the rules of basketball and ways to play. A basketball court is ready in Kusothar in Darbhanga district, where the local people are making the youth aware to make a career in basketball. Basketball, badminton court and racing track are being built at a cost of about Rs 10 lakh.
Local resident Basant Kumar Jha says that by the efforts of the government, the youth are getting information about sports, so that now children here can also make a career in basketball. There are four schools in this panchayat and to increase the interest of children in basketball, we are planning to plan and talk to the children.
Local Basant Kumar says that under the Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Scheme, four sports grounds are being built at a cost of Rs 10 lakh, including basketball, volleyball, badminton and racing tracks. There are also trend teachers of sports in this school and the construction of this court is also very excited among the local children. School teachers are also very happy. When we were making basketball courts, we saw a lot of curiosity among the children, there are four schools in this panchayat and to increase the interest of children in basketball, we are talking to children in every school.
Everybody is making awareness that people will now illuminate their names in basketball as well as the name of the village and panchayat. The children who play basketball will have full support from the local people. If he plays well, then after talking to the sports officer, there will be an effort to send him to the block and district level and to the state level.
