Millions of masks were thrown during Kovid! Now time bomb is being made for healthMasks thrown in garbage in Kovid are now pose a threat to humans.
Disposable face masks pollution: If something was used the most during Kovid epidemic, it was a face mask. The mask is considered extremely effective in protecting the mask from infection and people used around 12900 crore masks every month. It was fine to use masks, but most people threw it into the garbage after using the mask, which are now pose a threat to the health and environment of the people. During the Kovid epidemic, millions of millions of disposable face masks were thrown in the open like this, which are now releasing dangerous chemicals. This disclosure has been made in new research. It has been found that chemicals coming out of these masks can spread serious diseases.
The Guardian’s Report According to New research has revealed that the masks thrown by using during Kovid epidemic have become a big threat to the environment and humans. These masks made of plastic are broken and released microplastic and dangerous chemicals, which can become a serious threat to human health, animals and environment. During the Kovid period, there was so much demand for masks that there was no effective system of their disposal, which was thrown into the garbage or open. These masks are mostly made of polypropylene and other plastic. After use, these masks went into the garbage heap or spread in the open. These masks started getting in parks, rivers, sides of the sea and rural areas, where they broke into the environment.
Research team of Center for Agroicology, Water and Regiliation (CAWR) at the Covernory University in England investigated how much microplastic they leave when they keep the masks in the water. He kept various types of masks purchased in pure water for 24 hours and later checked the water. Microplastic came out of every mask, but the FFP2 and FFP3 masks released 4 to 6 times more microplastic. These are the masks that are considered to be the most reliable for protecting the virus. These are now proving to be the most dangerous. The size of microplastic particles from these masks was quite different. Their size ranged from 10 micrometers to 2082 micrometers, but small particles were found to be the highest in water than 100 micrometers. These small particles can enter the human body and environment and cause many health problems.

Another worrying thing came to light in this research that a chemical called Bisphenol B is also coming out of the mask. It is an endocrine dysterpter, which acts like estrogen in the body. This can have a serious effect on the hormone system of humans and animals. In many research, this chemical has also been linked to cancer. According to researchers, the total 128 to 214 kg Bisphanol B has reached the environment from all masks used during the Corona epidemic. This quantity can prove to be very dangerous for the health of the environment and animals and animals. This is the reason why experts consider these masks as chemical time bombs. These chemicals can be the cause of diseases at any time.

Ana Bogush, the lead author of this research, says that now we have to produce, use and settle face masks. We have to find options that are safe for the environment and which can be recycled. Along with this, it is also necessary to raise awareness among people about this danger, so that they can choose a better option. The masks that were very important for the protection of our health during Kovid have now become a serious threat to the environment and human health. Due to microplastic and chemical pollution, these masks can also become a threat to the coming generations. Therefore, solving this problem should be the biggest priority of today. It is a big responsibility to develop options for safe and environmental face masks.
