Published in Nature magazine, this study revealed the experiment on mice and analysis of the Human patient that there was an increase in death rates in people survived during the Kovid-19 epidemic and metastatic disease in the lungs. Previous researches have shown that the process of inflammation can activate passive cancer cells. These cells separate from primary tumors and spread to other organs and remain inactive for a long time. The increase in cancer mortality during Kovid epidemic emphasizes the idea that severe inflammation could activate these cells.
Julio Agnire-Ghiso of the US’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine said that our findings suggest that cancer survivors should take precautions to protect against respiratory virus. This also includes vaccination and consultation from a doctor. Rule Vermulan of Urchkhat University in the Netherlands said that the risk of metastatic relaxes may increase after normal respiratory viral infections among those survived by cancer. He told that this study is before the available Kovid-19 vaccine is available.
