It has about 30 mutations, which weaken immunity. According to the University of Johns Hopkins in the US, JN1 spreads more easily than earlier variants, but it is not very serious. It remains the most common variant in many parts of the world.
Symptoms of Covid-19 JN1 can live anywhere from a few days to weeks. If your symptoms persist for a long time, you may have long-covid. This is a situation in which some symptoms of Covid-19 persist even after recovering.

Do the existing vaccines work on JN1?
Intrectioning JN1 according to the study is a bit difficult for the immune system. Anti -bodies made of earlier vaccines or infections are less effective against it, but XBB.1.5 Monowalent booster vaccine helps fight the JN1.
According to WHO, the XBB1.5 monovalant booster is a Kovid-19 vaccine. It is specially designed to identify the XBB1.5 sub-variants of Omikron. This booster increases antibodies in the body and can prevent the disease caused by JN1 from 19% to 49%.
