New Delhi. America’s tennis sensation Coco Goff has won the French Open Grand Slam title despite lagging behind in the first set. The world’s second seeded Coco won dramatically against Aryana Sabalanka in the final. This is the second time when Coco has defeated Sabalanka in the final of the Grand Slam. Coco defeated Sabalanka 6-7 (5/7), 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday in the women’s singles final. Earlier, Cocoa also defeated Sabalanka in the final of the 2023 US Open.
This is Goff’s second Grand Slam title. Earlier, the US has won 2023 Open. The final was played between the first and second number of the world’s first and second player for the first time since 2013. Twelve years ago, Serena Williams won the title by defeating Maria Sharapova. This is the second time in the last 30 years when the title collision has occurred between the top two players.
