CJI BR Gavai was speaking on the ‘From Representation to Realization Embodiang the Constitutions Principal’ subject at the Oxford Union.
Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gawai said that the Constitution of India not only gives rights, but also works to uplift the backward and buried sections of the society. He said this during a program at the Oxford Union.
CJI said that the role of judicial activism will remain in the country, but it should not increase so much that it takes the form of judicial terrorism.
They said;-

CJI Gawai said- Judge ground reality cannot be ignored
CJI BR Gawai said on 17 May that judges cannot ignore the ground reality. He was speaking at the honor ceremony of Bar Council of India (BCI). During this time CJI Gawai emphasized the role of judges in understanding and responding to social realities.
CJI Gawai said that today’s judiciary cannot take the risk of seeing legal matters in strict black and white words, ignoring the complexities of human experiences.
The CJI emphasized that it is not effective to keep distance from people in the judiciary. He rejected the notion that the judges of the Supreme Court should avoid joining the people.
